"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

to put a profile pic up you have to click on your name at the top and go to your page, and then you click on the profile pic. box and it will say change avatar? and you click that and then, a box comes up so you can change it, then you commence to change it
